Da marted\u00ec 17 marzo<\/strong>, per tre giorni, la Reggia di Venaria ospiter\u00e0 il primo appuntamento del progetto triennale europeo \u201cPlatform\u201d, promosso dal network IN SITU.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cPlatform\u201d \u00e8 uno dei cinque progetti selezionati dalla Comunit\u00e0 Europea nell\u2019ambito del programma Creative Europe<\/strong> e si inserisce nell\u2019attivit\u00e0 ormai ultradecennale con cui la rete IN SITU<\/strong>, capitanata dal centro di produzione francese Lieux Publics<\/strong>, promuove l\u2019arte nei luoghi pubblici<\/strong> come peculiare genere artistico. Il progetto – che ha tra i suoi scopi l\u2019individuazione di artisti emergenti e insieme la ricerca di nuove tipologie di spettatori \u2013 per tre anni organizzer\u00e0 una serie di meeting (gli \u201cEmerging Spaces<\/strong>\u201d) in varie localit\u00e0 europee, in cui performer, danzatori, teatranti e operatori avranno modo di incontrarsi, scambiarsi spunti ed esperienze, attivare collaborazioni, per arrivare infine alla realizzazione concreta di performance e installazioni in vari spazi pubblici in tutta Europa.<\/p>\n

Il primo di questi meeting avr\u00e0 come location d\u2019eccezione la Reggia di Venaria, che con la rassegna \u201cGiornate da Re\u201d \u00e8 partner del network IN SITU. Dal 17 al 19 marzo<\/strong>, presso la Cascina Medici nei Giardini della Reggia, dieci artisti e operatori culturali provenienti da tutta Europa discuteranno e lavoreranno sul tema \u201cSite Sensitive<\/strong>\u201d. Per „site sensitive“ si intende l\u2019intervento antropico su un luogo, in armonia con il luogo stesso ma con una particolare attenzione alle conseguenze e alle ricadute sociali e sociologiche. La Venaria Reale, ricreando una reggia contemporanea partendo da un palazzo vuoto, \u00e8 stata ed \u00e8 un progetto che ha rigenerato una citt\u00e0, reinventandone il paesaggio fisico e sociale: in questo senso Venaria e la sua Reggia sono gi\u00e0, di per s\u00e9, \u201csite sensitive\u201d. Per intervenire artisticamente su un luogo come Venaria, la comprensione dello spazio – come portatore di storia, umanit\u00e0, socialit\u00e0 e contraddizioni – diventa allora fondamentale. Il workshop sar\u00e0 quindi un confronto di idee tra artisti e operatori, in un dialogo a pi\u00f9 voci con il luogo stesso che li ospita, per capire come affrontare un intervento \u201csite sensitive\u201d e come far vivere al pubblico un luogo fisico come luogo dello spirito.<\/p>\n

Ogni operatore presenter\u00e0, a nome del festival o dell\u2019istituzione rappresentata, un artista \u201cemergente\u201d con cui lavorer\u00e0 nel corso dell\u2019anno a venire su un nuovo progetto di produzione. Per La Venaria Reale ci sar\u00e0 Matteo Lanfranchi del collettivo milanese Effetto Larsen. Dal resto d\u2019Europa arriveranno: Kess Lesuis del Terschelling Oerol Festival (Olanda) con il performer belga Johannes Bellinkx; James Moore dell\u2019Ostfold Performing Arts Network (Norvegia) con l\u2019artista visivo svedese Christer Lundahl; Neil Butler dell\u2019\u2019UZ Arts (Scozia) con il drammaturgo e attivista Adam Scarborough; Natalia Ortega Embid del centro LAVA_Valladolid (Spagna) con la coreografa e danzatrice tedesca Sabine Dahrendorf.<\/p>\n

The European IN SITU – \u201cPlatform\u201d project starts from La Venaria Reale<\/h3>\n

On March 17th -19th , artists and operators from all over Europe will discuss \u201csite sensitive\u201d art production.<\/p>\n

From Tuesday March 17th <\/strong>and for three days, La Reggia di Venaria <\/em>will host the first appointment of \u201cPlatform\u201d, a three-year-long European project<\/strong>, promoted by the IN SITU network<\/strong>.
\n\u201cPlatform\u201d is one of the five projects selected by the European Union within the Creative Europe programme and it is included in the activities with which the IN SITU network – led by the French production center Lieux Publics – has been promoting art in public places as a specific art genre for more than ten years.
\nThe project aims at identifying emerging artists and looking for new types of audience; it will organize various meetings (\u201cEmerging Spaces<\/strong>\u201d) over the next three years in different European locations, in which performers, dancers, actors and operators will meet, exchange ideas and experiences, and start collaborations in order to actually organize performances and installations in various public spaces all over Europe.<\/p>\n

The first meeting will be held in a distinguished location, the Reggia di Venaria<\/em>, which participates in the IN SITU network with its \u201c The King\u2019s day\u201d initiative. On March 17th\u201319th <\/strong>at the Cascina Medici in the Gardens, ten artists and cultural operators from all over Europe <\/strong>will discuss and work on the subject of \u201cSite Sensitive\u201d art<\/strong>. „Site-sensitive“ indicates an anthropic intervention on an area, which takes place in harmony with the area itself and pays particular attention to its social and sociologic consequences and repercussions. By recreating a contemporary royal palace starting from an empty building, La Venaria Reale\u2019<\/em>s project has restored a town, and re-invented its physical and social landscape. In this perspective, Venaria <\/em>and its Reggia <\/em>already are site-sensitive in themselves. For an artistic intervention on a location such as Venaria<\/em>, understanding space – as marked by history, humanity, social interaction and contradictions – becomes fundamental. This workshop will be an exchange of ideas between artists and operators, who will engage in a dialogue with the location itself in order to understand how a site-sensitive intervention should be approached and how the audience can be led to experience a physical place as a place of the soul.<\/p>\n

On behalf of the festival or institution they represent, each operator will introduce an \u201cemerging artist\u201d they will work with on a new production project in the coming year. Matteo Lanfranchi from Effetto Larsen collective in Milan will be present for La Venaria Reale<\/em>. From the rest of Europe: Kess Lesuis from the Terschelling Oerol Festival (The Netherlands) with Belgian performer Johannes Bellinkx; James Moore from Ostfold Performing Arts Network (Norway) with Swedish visual artist Christer Lundahl; Neil Butler from UZ Arts (Scotland) with playwright and activist Adam Scarborough; Natalia Ortega Embid from the LAVA_Valladolid center (Spain) with German choreographer and dancer Sabine Dahrendorf.<\/p>\n
