\n\tThe exhibition explores the theme of royalty as a scenic invention<\/strong>,\u00a0a language that spans centuries, genres and styles.<\/p>\n

\n\tAt the heart of the exhibition are stage costumes from both cinema and theatre<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe exhibition\u00a0itinerary offers the opportunity to admire a\u00a0selection of thirty-one dresses, which in the history of cinema\u00a0have been able to build the image of queens<\/strong>, often beyond historical truth, as universal\u00a0archetype, queens of myth, history and fantasy.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe exhibition is structured around three main themes<\/strong>: myth<\/strong>, history <\/strong>and fantasy<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tYou will meet iconic figures: historical ones<\/strong>, like: Marie Antoinette<\/em> played by Kirsten Dunst\u00a0directed by Sofia Coppola (2006, costumes by Milena Canonero) or belonging to the myth<\/strong>, like\u00a0Medea\/Maria Callas by Pasolini (1969, costumes by Piero Tosi) or, even, fantastic <\/strong>figures drawn from literature and drama, like the Queen of Longtrellis from Tale of Tales<\/em> of Garrone, i, interpreted by\u00a0Salma Hayek (2015, costumes by Massimo Cantini Parrini).<\/p>\n

\n\tThe costumes on display are designed by great costume designers and artists, created by historic Italian tailors for various directors and famous actresses.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe works come from major tailors, archives and museum collections such as the Uffizi Galleries \u2013 Museum of Fashion and Costume in Florence<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n\tMassimo Cantini Parrini<\/strong>, internationally renowned costume\u00a0designer, twice Oscar nominee, six-time David di Donatello Award winner, the last one in 2025\u00a0for the film Le d\u00e9luge. The Flood<\/em> by Gianluca Jodice (2024), shot at the Venaria Reale, in\u00a0addition to five Silver Ribbons and other international awards.\u00a0He collaborates with leading Italian and international directors, designing costumes for films, theatre productions, exhibitions and major international events, such as the costumes for the opening ceremony of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
