\n\tBuilt in the Middle Ages as a fortress for defensive purposes on the hill of Turin, the Moncalieri Castle was transformed in the Baroque era into a royal residence of the Savoy family and in the 19th century was the scene of important historical events.<\/p>\n
\n\tThe Royal Apartments of Moncalieri Castle<\/strong> are open to the public. \n\tTours are available on Fridays, Saturdays<\/strong>, Sundays and public holidays<\/strong> from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m<\/strong>.
