{"id":25334,"date":"2025-06-10T12:16:24","date_gmt":"2025-06-10T10:16:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lavenaria.it\/into-the-light\/"},"modified":"2026-07-12T18:07:57","modified_gmt":"2026-07-12T16:07:57","slug":"into-the-light","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/lavenaria.it\/en\/into-the-light\/","title":{"rendered":"Into the Light"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\t<strong>Into the Light<\/strong>\u00a0is the main theme of\u00a0<strong>all the programming<\/strong>\u00a0of Venaria Reale starting\u00a0<strong>from 21 June<\/strong> 2025, the first day of summer\u00a0with exhibition events, meetings, in-depth talks and special initiatives dedicated to it.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<em>Into the Light<\/em>\u00a0significantly distinguishes until next year\u00a0the activities of the Reggia and its Gardens.<br \/>\n\tThe\u00a0<strong>great theme of \u201clight\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0in art, of particular importance in general in the Baroque era, is expressed at the Reggia through its architectural masterpieces: the Great Gallery, the Church of St. Hubert and the Citroniera by Filippo Juvarra.<br \/>\n\tThe programming of\u00a0<em>Into the Light<\/em>\u00a0aims to\u00a0enhance the intrinsic features that characterise the Reggia in order to re-propose to the public the <strong>Italian Royal experience<\/strong>\u00a0in the different declinations and areas of interest (cultural, leisure and wellness).<\/p>\n<h3>\n\tThe Reggia Into the Light<\/h3>\n<p>\n\t<strong>From 21 June to 31 August<\/strong>:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lavenaria.it\/evento\/frames\"><em>Frames<\/em><\/a><br \/>\n\tMultimedia installations, with\u00a0light projections\u00a0overlapping the canvases\u00a0of the Hall of Diana. Project by Davide Ferrario, in collaboration with the National Museum of Cinema of Turin<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<strong>From 28 June to 31 August<\/strong>:\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/lavenaria.it\/evento\/anthony-mccall-solid-light\">Anthony McCall. Solid Light<\/a><\/em><br \/>\n\tThe &#8220;light sculptures&#8221; of McCall,\u00a0spectacular beams of light in dialogue with the Baroque environments and the perspectives of the Reggia.\u00a0Exhibition in collaboration with Tate, UK.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<strong>From 28 June to 30 August:<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lavenaria.it\/evento\/sere-destate-alla-reggia-2025\"><em>Summer Nights at the Reggia<\/em><\/a><br \/>\n\tFestivals, dreams, art and visions\u00a0with the Gardens lit by thousands of candles.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tEvery Friday and Saturday\u00a0and Thursday 14 August, the Reggia extends\u00a0its opening hours to 11 p.m. with a special ticket. The\u00a0Gardens host\u00a0shows and live music, and offer\u00a0pleasant relaxing moments and\u00a0aperitif\u00a0at sunset.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<strong>Into the Light in autumn<\/strong><br \/>\n\tThe programming continues in\u00a0autumn with\u00a0<strong>Lectio on the theme of light<\/strong>,\u00a0a series of meetings, and the publication of a\u00a0<strong>book\u00a0on the Great Gallery<\/strong>, the space of light par excellence of the whole Reggia, that will analyse Juvarra\u2019s work from the historical and architectural point of view.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<strong>Into the Light in winter<\/strong><br \/>\n\t<em>Immaginaria and Christmas Nights at the Reggia<\/em><br \/>\n\tThe Christmas event of\u00a0<strong>Immaginaria\u00a0<\/strong>from 6 December 2025 to 6 January 2026, organised in cooperation with the city of Venaria Reale, represents the final celebration of\u00a0<em>Into the Light<\/em>\u00a0with the\u00a0<em>Luminographie <\/em>project by the Italian-French artist Gaspare Di Caro, which includes spectacular light projections on the facades of the Reggia and in the old town.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<strong>Into the Light: the contemporary art of Venaria Reale<\/strong><br \/>\n\tThe theme of light had already been developed at Venaria Reale with contemporary art interventions still present:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\t<strong>Peter Greenaway&#8217;s<\/strong> film work,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lavenaria.it\/esplora\/collezioni-e-arte-contemporanea\/arte-contemporanea\"><em>Peopling the Palaces<\/em><\/a>, is an integral part of the tour.<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/lavenaria.it\/esplora\/i-capolavori\/giardino-delle-sculture-fluide\"><em>The Garden of Fluid sculptures<\/em><\/a>\u00a0by\u00a0<strong>Giuseppe Penone<\/strong>\u00a0in the Lower Park with the most visually relevant work\u00a0Direction toward the light.<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/lavenaria.it\/esplora\/collezioni-e-arte-contemporanea\/arte-contemporanea\"><em>Dove le stelle si avvicinano di una spanna in pi\u00f9<\/em><\/a> (Where the stars\u00a0come one span) closer by\u00a0<strong>Giovanni Anselmo<\/strong>\u00a0at the Grand Parterre.<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t<em>Rendez-vouz<\/em>\u00a0by\u00a0<strong>Grazia Todari<\/strong>\u00a0positioned along the tour of the Reggia, a large-scale photograph dominated by light in which the artist depicts the capsules of Gemini 6 and Gemini 7 suspended in the Baroque space of the Great Gallery.<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t<em>Assembly\u00a0<\/em>by <strong>Marinella Senatore<\/strong>,\u00a0a large installation of light inspired by the traditional luminaries of southern Italy,\u00a0exhibited at the Cascina Medici del Vascello.<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/lavenaria.it\/esplora\/collezioni-e-arte-contemporanea\/arte-contemporanea\"><em>Storyboard.
