Giovanni Boldini’s world is dazzling: his genius has celebrated feminine charm, sumptuous and swooshing gowns, the Belle Époque and its elegant drawing rooms that perfectly define the rarefied atmosphere of an extraordinary era.
The exhibition retraces the steps of the Italian-French master’s artistic journey not only as one of the protagonists of that unique period or a visionary precursor of 20th century modernity, but as an artist whose works have paid tribute to women’s beauty, unveiling the most intimate and mysterious side of noblewomen of the time.
The exhibition, under the patronage of the City of Turin, is produced and organized by Arthemisia and La Venaria Reale and curated by Tiziano Panconi and Sergio Gaddi.
