Major events hosted by the Reggia

Over the years, the Reggia of Venaria has established itself as the ideal venue for institutional events and major Italian and international events, thanks to its majestic yet versatile spaces, also chosen as sets for films or presentations and promotions of major brands.

The Reggia has hosted important institutional events such as the G7 Climate, Environment and Energy held on 29 and 30 April 2024, the 132nd Session of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe in May 2022, the G7 Industry / ICT, Science and Labour, the three Ministerial meetings dedicated to innovation in September 2017 and the Summit of the 28 Ministers of Culture of the European Union in September 2014.

The halls of the Reggia and its extensive Gardens have been the venue of major international social and inaugural events, such as the Turquoise Carpet of the 40 Countries participating in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2022 or the opening ceremony of the 41st TFF - Turin Film Festival in 2023.

The Reggia has also been the venue for sports-related events: the start of the Giro d'Italia (Tour of Italy) in May 2024 and in May 2011, the start of the 19th stage of the Giro d'Italia in 2018 or the gathering of the National football team leaving for the World Cup in South Africa in 2010. 

The Reggia of Venaria has also been chosen as a location for major national and international film productions and for the presentation of prestigious brands that have organised private events, corporate meetings or commercials to promote their products.

Some of Italy's most important Wedding planner agencies offer their clients the venues of the Reggia to organise elegant and prestigious wedding ceremonies and celebrations.
