Genesis is the most recent work by Sebastião Salgado, the greatest documentary photographer of our time. The project, that started in 2003 and spanned 10 years, is a song of love for the planet and an admonishment to human beings.
More than 200 exceptional images make up a powerfully evocative journey in black and white, narrating the rare beauty of the unique and invaluable natural heritage of our planet, with an extraordinary and exciting display of locations that include the tropical forest of the Amazon, the Congo, Indonesia and New Guinea, from the glaciers of Antarctica and the taiga of Alaska, to the deserts of America and Africa, all the way to the mountain peaks of America, Chile, and Siberia.
A passionate tribute, that underscores the need to safeguard the planet, to change our lifestyle, to adopt a more respectful attitude towards nature and the world around us, to find a new balance with nature. A journey to the origins of the world to safeguard its future.
