La Repubblica della Musica

As part of the Late Spring Music Festival, and on the occasion of Republic Day, on the morning of Sunday 2 June 2025 the Reggia of Venaria Reale will present a new project called La Repubblica della Musica.

Numerous amateur musicians will be protagonists giving voice, with their respective ensembles, to ‘conversations between friends through sounds’, as Goethe liked to say about the string quartet.

The project

The La Repubblica della Musica project is open to string quartets formed by citizens of all nationalities, and without age limits, consisting mainly of members who do not perform music professionally. The admission of participants (maximum 4 quartets) is subject to the submission of an audiovisual recording made live.

The quartets selected through the La Repubblica della Musica call for proposals will have the opportunity to perform publicly at the Reggia of Venaria on 2 June, the final day of the Late Spring Music Festival 2025.
